Public Housing

Public Housing is a form of housing owned by the housing authority. Round Rock Housing Authority (RRHA)  currently owns 100 public housing units at three sites.

Applicants

The RRHA is currently accepting applications, they can either be downloaded from this website, by requesting one by mail or by picking one up from our office located at:

Change of Address/Phone Number

They may be returned by mail or by dropping the application off at our office location in the drop-box located by the employee entrance.  They can not be faxed.

Note: The RRHA is currently only accepting applications for public housing at this time.

Our Office Hours are:

Monday – Friday

8:00am – 12:00 pm
1:00pm -5:00 pm daily

The estimated wait for public housing is 18 – 24 months at this time.

Please make sure to report any changes to your address or phone number (in writing) to the Housing Authority. No changes are accepted verbally.

The list is purged every six months. Failure to report address changes may cause your application to be terminated for nonresponding.

Also, it is necessary for the RRHA to have on file current written verification of all family income to establish eligibility for housing assistance and to determine rental subsidies.

Please note that RRHA has 48 hours to return a phone call or answer an email. Please do not leave multiple messages and/or send multiple emails it will slow down the process for RRHA to respond and be attentive to the needs of our clients.
